Waynetown - Irene Gibbs, 96 of Crawfordsville and formerly oif Waynetown died at 7 a.m. Monday in Lane House Nursing Center. Mrs. Gibbs was a homemaker. She and her husband moved to Waynetown in 1942 and lived there until 1976 when they moved to Crawfordsville. She was born June 29, 1902 in Tennessee to John and Christine Thompson. She married Sam Gibbs in 1926 in Tennessee. He is deceased.
SUrviving are a son, Jimmy of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in SHoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S. Indiana 25, Waynetown. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
